Help Moto G ringtones

Slowly finding my way round the new phone and as promised here is the first of my question.

I can't find how to use my own sound files from memory card as ringtones, is it possible to do this and if so how please.

Easiest way i know is to download an app called PowerAmp music player (free 2week teial) play the song you want, hit the 3dot menu button at the top and hit ringtone.
Tha other way involves file managers if you're happy with that?
