Help MOTO G storage space

I have moto g. But as it doesn't has SD card I ordered a micro USB flash drive . any way of how I can use it as storage on moto g ?
Also I just want extra space for gaming like 2gb games. Can I use afford like link 2sd ?

The moto g supports USB otg which means you can use a male micro USB to female USB cable and that will allow you to use thumb drives all you have to do is plug the micro USB into the charging port. Also is you get a dual flash drive with both a USB and micro USB connector just plug the micro USB into the charging port and the phone should recognize it automatically

I'm not sure just being honest. I don't have a micro USB adapter so I can't test this for you. Maybe some else will stop by and answer that for you

From all accounts, this phone is pretty much unbrickable. IF you follow the directions in the "All Things Root" section for particular variant of the phone. If you do run into trouble, there are directions to return your phone to stock. As you are probably aware, rooting opens up many more possibilities than straight stock.

But if you do decide to root, make sure you read up, and feel comfortable with the directions.

Maybe someone else has experience with a non-root method to achieve what you are seeking.
