Moto X users: Does your phone do this?

Lurker
when i set my phone down i can hear something inside of it making a rattling sound, like there is something loose inside. i then found that when i tap the camera lens on the back with my finger, i can hear the rattle. does anyone else have this problem? thanks

No, I have no rattle or sound of any sort. That doesn't seem at all right, maybe call Moto (or your carrier if you got it there) and see about getting a new one.

The sound isn't audible if I just place the phone down or use it normally. In order to hear the sound by the camera lens, I have to shake the device and hold it to my ear, and it's pretty minimal. I wouldn't be surprised if it's normal when looking at the phone (dis)assembly, but it doesn't bother me since I have to actively try to hear it.

I"ve owned plenty of phones that a small rattling sound came from the camera lense, I just bought a Moto X and its in the mail, but I have a Galaxy Note 3, never dropped it and just shook it and heard the same noise from my lense, not saying it should or shouldn't, but I've never had a smart phone that I didn't notice the sound coming from it. I'd say don't worry about it.

I'm not sure, but can it be a setting, that makes a sound, when you shake the phone it takes a picture ?? I just checked mine and no sound either.

Mine doesn't rattle, but I was watching a YouTube review the other day and the reviewer said that on the backside near the bottom just above the carrier logo (VZW on mine) there is a soft spot that when you gently press it, it sounds like something sticky.
