Help Motorola Atrix: Lost contacts overninght! :O

Hi,

I just got an Atrix last night. The guy at the ATT store transferred all my contacts from my old phone, and I saw them, and dialed a few. But this morning, I am trying to send a text, and most of my contacts are gone. The only ones left appear to be be people I have entered information on in google contacts, online.

I haven't even plugged the phone into the computer yet, so it is obviously syncing to that account via wifi, or 3g.

Can I do anything to get all my contact info back? Sorry, I am a complete newb.

Were you contacts sync'd to google or were they just installed on the phone?

In the people (contacts) app, hit menu then hit view and then tell us what you see?

add contact, search, display/group, my info, manage accounts, more

and the accounts were just transferred to the phone, not synced.

i looked in the "more/settings" menus, and nothing i hit returns my contacts.

Have you looked in display/group?

I have a feeling your contacts were loaded to your phone, but not added to your google account, therefore they did not sync.

This is the same prob I am having: disappearing contacts. I can't figure out why contacts won't sync both ways. If I enter a new contact into the phone, won't it add to gmail? If I add a new contact to gmail, won't it add to the phone? And why will random contacts suddenly disappear?

Just about fed up with sync.
