Help Motorola Atrix system update issue

I am having a issue with my Atrix getting a system update that is already installed to stop trying to download again. First, I was on my phone and went to system updates it found an update and asked if I would like to download it. I clicked the "Later" button and proceeded with other tasks. Then later, I hooked the phone to my computer and ran the Motorola updater to do the update that way. It installed just fine but now I have an orange exclamation mark at the top of my screen indicating it needs to download the update and when I view notifications it says that it will download the update on wifi or off peak hours. I hook up to wifi and try to download and it says that there are no further actions needed and disappears. If I reboot the phone the message comes right back up. It seems like the system update is stuck somehow. If you guys have any advice that would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Well, there were two updates released within a very short time frame. I picked up my Atrix Tuesday of this week, took it home and within a short period of time got a notification for the update to 4.1.57 (if I remember correctly), and later that evening, another one popped up. Installing that took me to 4.1.83, which I believe is the most current one. It's possible that the second update is the most recent one and your updates just showed up "bang, BANG" - one after the other.

The phone has 4.1.83. What happened is when I clicked "later" it seemed to que the update for another time. But since I did the update in the Motorola Updater that qued update on the phone must have stayed. I just don't know how to get it to clear that cached data.

Gotcha! I'm afraid that I can't help you with that one though. Having only had my Atrix for a few days, I'm still figuring things out, myself.

Good luck! :)

I'd love to know if anyone has figured this problem out yet. I have the EXACT same problem the OP has. Software is current through Motorola updater, but the update notification keeps coming up but then says it could find no update.

I wonder if you restore to factory settings, that it will eliminate the problem.....but then you will lose all your apps

I'm guessing that at worst it will go away when the next update comes out and there is something for the phone to "get." I will not use the Motorola Updater again if I have a choice as it must have taken 1+ hours to process.
