Help Motorola backflip questin

I just receieved a motorola bakflip. I'm not the most technical guy around . My question is, when reading the handbook on the page that shows where you can open the phone part way it shows an alarm clock. I can get the clock but in the pic in the book it show the current temp. How do I get it to show the temp? Please help me.
