Accessories motorola droid BT headset

Im lookin in the market for a good bluetooth headset that can use as many possible commands as possible on the motorola droid or the best BT out there lol, so far i was recommended by the verzion in the mall the
Blu-ant T1, this looks like a good one and i've downloaded the app which sounds like its a "OK" app, some of the commands dont sound like they work, people complaining about the ear piece on the device itself, and the readout of the text has some digitalized girl voice which i hear is quite bad lol.

what have you guys found to be the best BT to use with your android and why?

also the main reason im getting one is because i do alot of driving in a loud car "camaro 383 V8" so it will need to be a louder headset if anything.

thanks again guys :)

Motorola MOTOROKR S9-HD FTW. Stereo BT headset, works like a champ, *plus* plays your music really really well. Great sound from such a small set of speakers, and you can pick a pair up on Amazon for around $60 USD.

Yes it does BT voice dial. All controls work with my ^3 (Cubed) music player. You have to speak up a little since the mic is in the right earpiece but not much. It's crystal clear and I get 6-7 hours of CONSTANT use on a 2-hour charge. Highly recommended! :)

I need a good BT headset too.

you'd think for how long the phone has been out there would be much knowlege by now on the best one lol, i've chosen the motorola finiti ill post a review of what i think of it and how it works since there is nearly no information on that lol

Since the DROID supports BT, just about any BT headset works. Reviews on headsets are probably easier to find based upon the headsets themselves, or review articles comparing the two.

I can assure you that the S9s work like a charm - the HDs sound awesome, and like Chief said - 6-7 hours continuous use over a 2 hour charge.

I use them at work in the lab every day listening to Pandora - I'm always replacing the phone battery before the headset ever dies, and a quick 1 hour charge while I'm at lunch keeps the headset running all day.

And, yes, voice commands work perfectly.

There are tons of BT headset reviews out there. Don't confine yourself to just Droid AND BT headset reviews or you'll find a lot less to go on. Best is always very subjective but it's even more so with BT headsets as you not only need to assess features and performance relative to your needs/wants but you also need to assess fit and comfort.

If you want recommendations it might help to spell out your requirements. Is it just for calls? Do you need/want A2DP? You mention that noise is a concern so keep that in mind when looking at reviews.

Thanks Takeshi. I want to listen to stereo music, take and make phone calls, and use voice commands like those in Vlingo car--e.g. send text, reply, etc. Finally, I'd like it to not be too bulky because I want to wear it all the time, and since i drive a convertible, I need a good mic so my commands are clear. I've never found a decent stereo BT headset with a boom mic. So, I welcome any and all suggestions! And thanks.

Hmm, the biggest disadvantage of the S9 HDs would be that they fit well - too well. Not something you want in both ears are you're driving down the road.

I know this is an OLD, OLD thread, but:

I had to tell you folks about a new BT headset I just got for my birthday that absoutely blows away everything I've ever used: The Rocketfish RF-MAB2 Stereo Headset.

Not only is it more comfortable than the Motorola S10s, but they sound phenomenal! Set them to MEX mode (wide dynamic range) and marvel at the crisp highs and deep lows. They actually sound better than my home stereo (although that says a little about my home stereo system  )!

These things should last 12-14 HOURS on a 3-hour charge, meaning that I can rock out all day long and place calls without pausing mid-day to recharge. I'll report back after a couple of days with realistic time of use.

Anyway, they're typically about $60 but I bought mine $45 shipped on eBay for a recertified set and they have no problems at all. AWESOME!

EDIT: I STILL can't tell you how long they will truly last... I haven't been able to kill them yet! My record usage so far was putting them on at 7:15 AM, rocking for most of the day, taking calls, very little standby time. I took them off, exhausted, at 10:50 PM and they weren't even giving me a low battery indication yet! Good Grief!

Sorry, but I don't like the cover the ear type design. I prefer in-ear type headsets.

Plus, the Motorola S10 HDs are going for about the same price ($69,99 on sale at Best Buy, regular $89.99), and have a much longer play period than the S9s. I'm picking up a pair this week to replace my S9s (with which there is nothing wrong, but I like newer stuff) and will also report back next week sometime as to how well they work.

Won't knock the S10s at all. They are a very capable headset.

I found that the S10s last, on average, about 1-1/2 hours longer than the S9s on the same 2-hour charge. So 6-7 hours continuous use isn't bad for something so small. Naturally YMMV.

They're also a LITTLE more comfortable, although both were slightly tight on my big head and left indentations in my ears after using them for several months :p

Hmm, interesting. My S9s last 5-6 right now, so....Imma have to buy a new S10 set lol.

Embarassing when my overclocked phone running GB outlasts my headset....
