My Droid is stuck on the startup screen that says android. I was deleting the facebook app and then my screen completely went black. After 5 minutes I got that error saying force close or wait (I can't remember what it was for). Eventually I just turned my phone off and turned it back on, only to have it stuck on this android screen. I tried removing the battery but nothing changed. Whats wrong with my phone?

I take it by "android screen" you mean the one where it says push here to start? If that is the case it sounds like your phone is acting as if you did a factory data reset.
You can do two things. Either press the android and resign into your google account or press each corner of the screen in a clockwise manner starting with the upper left to bypass the signin screen and see what else is going on with your phone.
