My son and I both have Droids, I'm 40 he's 16. I have 100+ apps, my phone is rooted and loaded with the Smoked Glass ROM, his is stock 2.01 with less than 2 dozen apps and all he has changed is the wallpaper!

hahahahaha this one made me laugh :)

29 for another four months, and, like most others, I'm loving my Droid. My biggest (okay, only real) complaint is that I *THOUGHT* I loved my Omnia once I started flashing custom ROMs, but even with all the ROM advancements, looking back, I spent a year trying to convince myself that I loved an inferior phone. It took the Droid to show me that.

Also, as a funny story, my girlfriend and I went to IHOP yesterday morning (in Cherry Hill, NJ), and while we were waiting for a table to open up, we were sitting down next to a couple of 19-22 year olds who were playing with their iPhones non-stop. Within two minute of whipping them out, they were complaining about crashes, how one sent the other one 600 nonsense texts because of a glitch in the messaging program, and a host of other things that had gone wrong in the past week with their phones. In the midst of their complaints, I received a text message (and I hope you guys know what that means - "DROID!") and they both just looked at me and rolled their eyes. Normally, I'd simply bite my tongue, but as I read the text, I commented (ostensibly to my girlfriend, but loud enough that the young turks could hear) how glad I was that *my* phone was so stable and how much faster it ran now that I've overclocked it, when it came out of the box faster than an iPhone. It was pretty quiet in the waiting area for the next five minutes or so until they got called to go to their table and we got called to go to ours.

Fortunately the two tables weren't near one another so I was able to enjoy my breakfast without being a braggart. ;-)

I would have reveled in the moment. Started asking poignant questions as to why they would keep device that gave them so many problems, etc. - without being braggart about it. After all, I know hundreds of people just like that - like one of my clients who just gave me his computer b/c of an Internet Security 2010 infection - running an illegal copy of Windows XP on a 386 class machine....

:(

Crap in less than 2 months I'll be in the next to oldest group on your poll.....

somebody pass me my reading glasses so I can see this dern Droid thingy....along with the Geritol....

how many people on here even know what Geritol is/was?

Knows what Geritol is, though I have no need for it yet. I remember the ads from the 70s clearly....

36 yr old body. Mind stuck at 21.

Have to say I'm impressed. You're older than my parents, and I have to constantly walk them thru the ins and outs of their electronics, computers, etc.

If I handed them my Droid, I fear their heads would explode.

I would have though that too - but my 70+ yo father just got a Blackberry from work and he bought my mother (60+) a brand new BB Storm 2 right before I got the DROID, and they have really been having no problems with them - of course, my mother keeps asking me to install some of the apps I have on my phone onto her phone, so she doesn't really get the whole "They're different Operating Systems - I can' just put my apps on your phone!" idea yet....

I will be 40 this year... my wife is going to trade me for two 20 year olds when that happens.

That sounds like either an ad for Doublemint gum, or else something else that I really can't say on here :D

32 but extremely immature, my girlfriend yells at me for playing call of duty or playing with my phone all night long. can you blame me?

Can you blame her? Girlfriends are flesh and blood, a phone is just a phone...and now it is a 3+ month old phone....

Sounds familiar;) I started in 1979, on an Atari 400, at the ripe old age of 6!:D

Heh ya'll got me beat, never had a CoCo / Trash80, nor an Atari, but I did play on a Neighbor's Heathkits and Sinclairs, before getting my very first - The good old TI 99-4/A....

41, wife who will getting a droid soon is 32.

The way it is looking, if I ever get married, the age difference will be probably about the same if not more as yours....

I am 22 y.o. and my sister just got a droid she is 24.
My sister just got the droid a couple weeks ago, where I've had mine literally since day 1. She has already had people gawking over her phone and I get a little jealous sometimes because I'm the one who is over obsessed with it and go on phandroid and all that crap daily. Butthen I can't blame her cuz she has friends and I don't. Lulz.
We are pretty close though, back when the g1 came out she got one soon after I did.
