holy crap this is amazing! why aren't more people jumping on and celebrating? or have i been missing out on much? this is as amazing if not more than when the Telus Milestone got rooted... LOL.

Something awesome as that and only 2 reply's .. who died fella's ?

that is really amazing ! i was just about to dump milestone because of 600MHz proccessor :P

Anyone care to comment on the battery life with over clocking? Will it get worse.

I'm still stuck in my Milestone / Desire dilemma. I want to commit to the Milestone due to its keyboard but the Desire just keeps getting rubbed in my face by friends who currently are using it.

To me, this is just a patch until either the triumph or galaxy s come out. I HAT THE PHYSICAL KEYBOARD. Makes the phone feel clunky and overweight. Leaning towards the galaxy s as it has swype.

Although the Milestone is better when overclocked, it still is nothing in comparison to the Desire. The software, the "feel" of the device, it all feels so much better on the Desire.

Because it is made specifically to rival iPhone. These are two completely different devices - cannot be compared on any level.

So what is the Milestone meant to rival? A minority phone?

It is not meant to rival anything. It simply is a business tool. It is made to look like one.

desire definitely does not look like a business phone, more like a toy for people who have never had smartphones and do not know what to do with them. 90% of people I know bought Desire never installed any apps or maybe a game or two. They are never going to use stuff like Setting Profiles etc., and these are the apps that make it worth having a smartphone.

OK Mr Philosopher.

wow.. really good.. is there a way to save the overclock settings? so i dont have to load it everytime i restart?
becareful when implementing this feature... those who push their milestone too far with an unstable setting will render their milestone into a loop.

MS has a better graphic processor. It can easily outrun Desire on 3D rendering, even with stock 550mhz. Correct me if I am wrong. :o

You aren't wrong in terms of raw fill rate. But the Snapdragon can draw more polygons per second. Not to mention the GPU core is on-chip.

The other thing is HTC really spends time optimizing their Sense UI for their qualcomm processors. Live wallpapers like the Desire one seems to run better on Sense and on their Qualcomm CPUs in general.

We all know Motorola basically spent zero effort or close to no effort on making the UI of the Droid/Milestone smooth. They can't even fix basic bugs like the Alarm bug, music bug, etc, and yet you expect a polished OS? A Google Experience phone is an excuse for them to slap on RAW ANDROID without any improvements. Even though Moto Blur is probably bloatware compared to Sense, it would be SOME sort of improvement. Moto really dropped the ball here and didn't give a damn about the Droid phones. In some raw tests on graphics the Droid comes out ahead or really close to the N1, so in games we should be fine.... but HTC has really optimized the Android OS for their devices so that it runs nicely. Just look at N1 vs Desire/Droid Incredible. The Sense devices are fast as hell.

Heck even look at the Eris on 2.1 That thing is so freaking fast... makes you wonder why the stock home for the Droid is so slow..

If Moto had anything like SenseUI I would not be buying it. All these SenseUIs and stuff like that is just covering the real OS. I hate that and if all android phones had something like that Android would become useless.

I do not like any kind of OS cover. Hated TF3D, hate SenseUI.

If I wanted something like that I would get it, but getting it preloaded and having no choice of what I want to do is no good for me.

Then why aren't you looking at your phone from a raw data output? What you are using is an OS cover, in other words a USER INTERFACE.
