Help Motorola Milestone Stuck On Boot Screen

My Milestone is stuck on the startup screen that says android. I was deleting the facebook app and then my screen completely went black. After 5 minutes I got that error saying force close or wait (I can't remember what it was for). Eventually I just turned my phone off and turned it back on, only to have it stuck on this android screen. I tried removing the battery but nothing changed. Whats wrong with my phone?

Have you rooted your phone?
 
I guess that's a no.

Try turning your phone on, and just leave it struggling for 10 minutes or so. That fixes it sometimes. Not always, but it's worth a shot.
Don't worry, that's not the last resort, but it sure is the easiest.
 
If this isn't the last resort, what else can I do? I'm stuck on the Android logo for hours now, don't think anything is going to happen...
