Help Motorola Moto G and Lollipop

My partner's first gen Moto G updated to Lollipop a month or two ago, but the folder background and app drawer background are still black (stock launcher), whereas a Moto G 4G I saw today, the stock launcher was as I expected with lots of white everywhere.

The difference between the two, the non-4G updated to Lollipop from KitKat, whereas as the 4G one shipped with Lollipop.

Has anybody else noticed this? Did the update work properly?

The difference is that the white background comes with the Google Now launcher.
