Motorola Razr - ICS Timing Update!!!

Liking what I see from the latest RAZR ICS leak. Folks in the know at the site it was posted on says its legit so far.

Looks like Moto barely touched ICS if this holds true. I hope T9 dialing stays tho. That was one of the things I didnt like about stock ICS.

And if this holds true....compared to the HTC Ville with ICS and Sense 4.0...Moto might deserve a lil more credit from stock Android lovers for the UI.

Gotta agree with this wholeheartedly. I hate skins, but Motorola has definitely been going the right direction with Blur and this leak shows it. Bravo Moto bravo.

This is why i left Moto. All bark and no bite. And by bite i mean upgrades
This is 100% true if you don't count the two updates Moto has released that improve basic performance and add functionality. And they did it with out breaking anything.

I also don't see anybody else doing them any faster. HTC and Motorola has been comparable as far as updates, and Samsung has just sucked.

I have had this phone for not even three months and have had 2 updates. (one when I turned it on and most recently the OTA). Two updates (or one) in three months does not seem like a problem. Seems pretty good to me.

I had a Samsung for a year and did not get an update. I rushed and got the Nexus as it "had ICS." I had the phone for 4 days and took it back...I do not know if they have gotten a fix update, but I did not wait around to find out.

This phone absolutely flies...no issues, constantly pulling 2600+ quad scores, stock. I get the fact it has bloatware, GO hides it from me. I also get that Moto should unlock the phone, but they have not. There are work arounds for all of these things.

I am looking at my screen now, ICS themed, looks fine, works great and has better connection than any other of my friends and family's phone. I know that theming is not "the official release" , but I would rather theme this until the release and ICS is totally functional. Having been through having a phone that is not functional, this is much prefered IMO.

Other than being able to tell friends "hey, look I have ICS," not I am so worried about getting it. I would like Moto to unlock the boot, but that is not on topic here. Overall, I do not see a lot of other phones getting update after update leaving the Razr behind.

;)

Just to throw my two cents in:

I like my Razr thus far and am happy with it. I am looking forward to ICS but I don't necessarily NEED it right now. The recent OTA has already really improved my battery life to the point that I can use this powerful phone almost at an uninhibited pace. And, everything responds well and is stable. Good enough for me for now; and I haven't been the biggest Moto supporter in the past.

My wife just got the G Nex on Friday, and she is already considering switching -- the gyros are crappy and the phone will not switch back from landscape view half the time; and the interface is VERY buggy. Also, you cannot sync with Facebook without downloading a third party app because Google won't allow it.

All things considered, I'll enjoy my Razr as is and just be excited when ICS comes.

Being a long-time Blackberry user (due to work requirement based on security friendliness and encryption), and having had a Droid 2 and Droid X in the past, I can say that the RAZR is by far the fastest, easiest to use of all those, with less annoying idiosyncracies than the others. Also, despite the absence of an unlocked bootloader, I've found it pretty easy to manipulate and change as needed.
