Root Motorolla Mota G2 Dead PLEASE HELP!

Hi, I tried rooting my moto G2 running in Marshmallow today with a root made for the lollipop version and it failed, but i was able to access my phone by accessing the TWRP menu since my phone was unlocked to bootloader. From there, I installed Android Kitkat 4.4 on my phone so that I could access it. After that i decided to update the firmware from the phone back to marshmallow and somewhere between that time when it was updating, the phone stopped. Now the phone doesn't turn on, doesn't charge and nothing appear on the screen. The only thing I see when i plug it into the computer,it says the device connected to this port has malfunctioned. Please help me, I have tried everything. I tried holding down power key for 120 seconds, i tried holding down power+volume down for 120 seconds and I tried charging it. Nothing works and I fear that I have damaged the ROM. Please help, Thanks to any replies

It sounds worse than a damaged ROM (which would still let you into the bootloader and recovery, still let it charge, and could be relatively easily fixed). How did you try to update it?

Unfortunately if you can't get it to respond at all then there's no user fix for this. It will need specialised equipment to get it going again, i.e. a proper repair workshop.

I agree with @Hadron that there's something deeper wrong with your device--it shouldn't have just stopped responding, etc. in the middle of your operations (hopefully you didn't wipe-out the bootloader somehow).

By the way, I've merged your three threads into this one.

Best of luck!

My service provider is chatr. I did realize one thing though, when I connect it to a computer, I hear the connected sound on the computer but after like 3 sec it says the device has malfunctioned.

Thats what I was afraid of, do you think I can somehow flash in the original firmware in those 3 seconds the phone is connected to the computer(before it displays that the device has malfunctioned). If I cant fix it , is the phone just garbage or is it possible to make a couple bucks from it? Thanks

I've got the motherboard and case from a Cricket device. Not doing me any good. Its not too difficult to replace. I've made what I call a Spricket. The Cricket was fully functional but the bootloader could not be unlocked so I replaced the mother board with one from a really beat up Sprint. Bootloader is unlocked and running cm14.1.

I realized the computer actually does recognize the phone. It is recognized as RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM4) Model: QHSUSB_BULK, is there any hope:(

Idk if there is hope, but you should let some progressional look at it, and if that is to expensive, buy a new phone, I'm sorry :(
