Help Move Apps to SD - NOT Rooted

I am running out of space, and don't want to keep deleting my favourite apps. I've moved as many as I can to SD, but there are still lots of big ones that I can'tr move...is there a way round this without rooting my phone?

To be honest, I found rooting a hell of a lot easier than this procedure.

See my sig for a step by step guide! ;)
 
I'm not very technically minded! I don't think I should Root it...how easy is it? what are the downfulls, doesn't the warranty expire on it?

Well if you followed williams guide, he has 11 uneccessary steps, so I'm not surprised.

An easier way is this:

1) download and install htc sync




2) download sdk and extract to C:\



3) Connect your phone by USB and select the HTC sync option


4) Open command prompt (in Windows)


  • Go to Start > Run
  • Type "Cmd" and press OK



5) In the black window:


  • Type "cd\android-sdk-windows\tools" and press enter
  • Then Type "ADB shell" and press enter
  • Then Type "pm setinstalllocation 2" and press enter


Done

Its easy if it works, not so easy if not.

Read the first few sections, and have decided its too confusing for me :D
Don't actually understand half the words written LOL. Think I should give it a miss...will try the above!

No this won't do that at all. All this will will enable your phone and set the default install location to your SD card. Applications that up till that point are still installed on your phone's memory will need to be moved by hand.
 
Ok, what happens if I clear data on lots of the apps. EG there is 15mb of data on Internet...what would happen if I clear it?

I'm starting to wonder if I root the phone would this make my life easier!

What else can I do with a rooted phone? and what would change?

Read the links in SUroot's sig to find out the joys of rooting; it's pretty easy if you follow my sig! ;)
 
Will my desire still be the same after I root it? Or do i loose things, like sense?

Sorry for all questions, I'm a girl...need a girls manual LOL

It depends on the rom but there are a ton with Sense!

Anyone can root, even a girl! (just kidding!! :D )
