Move from GS2 to One

I have had a Galaxy S2 for 17 months and my contract is nearly over.
Cant decide between HTC One and Nexus 4
The Nexus is pure Android and cheaper but the One has extra features and had a HTC desire years ago and loved it.

The one think is I love flashing roms. IS there a way of returning to stock is there is a problem with the phone and the repair centre wont know of my flashing ways.

My Galaxy S2 was in for repairs and cause of the flash count was rejected for warranty repair so once burned and all that.

Well the really safest way in this case without being found out that you've been rooted is to run the current ruu. Which returns you back to bone stock with no root or no custom recovery.

Not sure if it's available to the One, but you should be able to re lock the bootloader IF s off and it would say *locked* rather than *relocked* if s on

Ah now I get it, so back to stock removes rot and flash count, is there a flash count on the One?

No flash count with HTC devices.

There's something similar, if your not s off (security off), when you re lock the bootloader it'll show *relocked* in the Hboot menu showing proof it was possibly rooted.

But being s off would fix that.

Do I have to root to get rid freeze bloatware from the carrier. Edit: Yeah as titanium need root access

Can I get a battery % or do I need to get an app for that.

Thanks for all the help

You can disable the bloat from the app manager, but I'd suggest rooting and removing.

I don't have the One, doubt there's a way to show the % without getting a 3rd party app or rooting and modding.
