Ok, I've rooted my phone, and I've got root explorer. I'm not a Linux person, but I can navigate well enough. Can someone point me where to put my ring tone file(s) so that if I remove/access my SD CARD with USB Mass storage, I still get my custom ring tones?

Found files under system/media/audio/ringtones however copying my mp3 file to here does not make it an available ring tone any ideas?
