Help Move shortcuts from "Applications" to "Home"

Lurker
It's beaten me!
From one of the 7 "Application" pages, I want to move a shortcut to the "Home" page.
I have done it once, but can't remember how I did it.
I can move one from the 'lower' section of the Home page to the 'upper' section, but not 'across'

Can someone save my sanity.
Using Android 2.3
Thanks
Morris

dont you just long press the app and drag it?? 0_o

Nearly there.
I had a 'blank' spot on the Home Screen so I managed to 'long hold' and drag a shortcut from Apps page1.

I can drag a shortcut from Home Screen1 to Home screen2, but can I drag it to Apps page 1 or 2 etc?

Thanks for the quick response.

Or you could use another launcher, (launcher pro / open home / adw launcher) and hide apps from your draw, and sort by alphabet or whatever. Generally, just long press on your home screen to create your shortcut.
