Help Move SMS from SIM

[dbsevern]

Hi, I have just bought a Galaxy Europa, and want to transfer my SMS messages from my old phone onto this one. I have some on my Sim, whch I will be transferring to the new phone, but it only seems to allow me to view and delete the messages on the SIM - is it possible to transfer them to the phone memory or SD card on the Europa

Welcome to the forums!

There's a few apps on the market that will allow you to back them up to an XML file, I'm not sure if they are viewable in the default SMS app though.

GoSMS is an alternative SMS app, one of the features of that is SMS Backup, that may do what you want it to.
