Help Movie File Sizes

So I used the DVD Catalyst software to make a movie file the DX will play, Works great but do I need to worry about these files being so big? I know there are file compressors out there but I don't know if it affects the movie play or not.

If anyone has knowledge or feedback I am interested.

What is your bitrate at? Lowering the bitrate will make the file smaller, but you will lose some picture quality. You have to find a point where you are happy with the picture quality vs. the file sizes.

I tink tht as long as the file size is under 2GB, the DX won't have a problem with it. I'ved used the DVD Catalyst on a few movies also, and seems that if you just do the main movie and skip all the extra crap, you can keep it under 1GB easily. I figure I can squeeze quite a few movies onto the SD car at that size, especially since I don't have any music on the phone at all.
