Would appreciate some info on this program. I can't seem to be able to import sound files to add to project files. Tried mp3's but I keep getting an error msg indicating the import failed. Anyone successful in using this program? If so, please explain how you accomplished it, type of sound file etc. Thanks.

i just did a quick test. i added a couple of photos and then dropped in a song from the xoom using the native music player. i had no issues. the song is an .mp3. all i did was tap on the speaker at the bottom of the timeline, the options popped up, i chose to search using the native music player app, picked a song.. it previewed.. then i tapped OK and it went right to the time line...

Thanks for the reply. I was kind of wanting to personalize it more like with voice recordings. I downloaded a voice recorder (couldn't find a stock one), then a program to convert my voice recording to mp3, tried importing it and that is when I got the error. Do you happen to know a better way of incorporating your voice recordings into those projects?

so you are recording the voice notes direct to the xoom from the mic on the xoom?

so give me your workflow. are you importing from a desktop computer? let me know and ill try an reproduce..

Yes, I used a couple of programs d/l'd from the Market (can't remember the names and since it failed I deleted them), one for recording my voice on the Xoom to insert/import into the project, and the other program I had to d/l specifically to convert the produced Voice/sound file created by the voice recorder to mp3. Putting the pics together into the project was no problem, but when I went to insert the voice recording into the project, I just kept getting "Failed to import mp3 file" (it was something similar to that anyway).

All I did was string 3-5 photos together from my pics on the Xoom, then used the steps necessary, Via Movie Studio, to insert the sound file I had already created on the Xoom. Thanks for the assist.

thank you.

just so i know and am on the right track,

you have NO problem importing , say, music.. its just the voice track you have converted that it giving you the issue correct?

ill get on this...

I think I just found the problem. When you add pics and/or sound files I'm continually given the option of completing the task either with (for example importing pics) Gallery or ES File viewer, if I choose the latter, it always errors out, if however I choose Gallery, it works without a hitch. Same with the sound aspect of it, if I don't choose to complete the task with the stock program for that part of the task (be it pic part or music part), it always fails. Once I read your post about needing to be clear on rather I could import regular music files got me to thinking about this, so thanks.

That seems to be the case with a lot of such apps on these devices. I know on my EVO if you are trying to send a pic throught the stock messaging app you have to select the galery not Astro or it won't work properly

I cannot bring pictures in from the gallery into the movie make.. Am i doing something wrong. My video was almost complete then it locked up. It would not play and none of the editing features woukd work. I ultimately had to delete the project. All of the pics i took in movie maker were stored in the gallery. Now i cant insert them into a new project. Also, is there a way to manipulate the audio track so it is not on the entire movie. I want to shorten the audio to only play on a portion of my video. The same applies for videos inserted into the time line. Can i shorten the video or cut out sections of the video or take snapshots within a video? Sorry for all of the questions. I am trying to use this for business. I believe these limitations are holding me back. Thank you for your help. Tim Graham
