just curious what exactly effects the picture qualities of movies on phones is it the screen resolution? would a net flix movie look more sharp on our phones compared to a galaxy s2 since we have a higher screen resolution?

sorry another stupid question. would games be sharper as well? or does the resolution only affect the interface of the phone; like just the menu or looking at texts??
damn, is there anyway to convert movie files into a higher resolution so that we can get a sharper picture??? also is there a way to stream at a higher resolution on netflix?
netflix has an option on the web page for your account that allows you to adjust the stream quality. You can try the highest resolution and see if that helps. I find the medium setting works great for me and streams without lag.

Try Diceplayer I was able to play "scene releases" 720p movies and 1080p TV shows. I could not test 1080p movies because of the fat32 file system limit.all depends on your bandwidth.
if you have 4+MB/s wifi you should be able to stream 720p content, which looks REALLY nice on the EVOs screen.
I wouldn't try streaming on 4G even though in good signal you can get 10+Mb/s Too easy to hit the cap and risk your data being slowed for the rest of the month.
I used to stream 480p on 3G but that was on my old Optimus V before the caps were introduced.
best bet is wifi but if you don't have at least 4 megabits down, youll only get SD res.
I have 2.5MB/s wifi at home and watching HD content is impossible. so sad.![]()
