I'm looking to move my fascinate over to Straight Talk from Verizon. How do I start the process, or at least research it?

Go to Straight Talk/Tracfone Compatibility Test Follow the instructions. If it can be moved it'll tell you. Then you buy a Verizon Activtion Kit (from ST or from Walmart).
If you want to port your number, do it on the phone (not the one you're porting) with a live rep at customer service. (Don't buy or activate anything, just call customer service, and have your dredit card handy.) If you do it on the web page and something glitches during the process (it's been known to happen), you lose your number.)
If the compatibility test says no, you can't use that phone. If it was bought for a Verizon no contract plan, you can't. And I believe that if it's a 4G phone, you stiil can't (although that may have changed or may change in the future).
