Help moving apps to SD card -- 2.2

I thought I'd read that one benefit of 2.2 was that apps could be run/stored on SD card, rather than the internal memory. My internal memory is dwindling to about 850 mb, so I'd like to move some stuff on to the card if I can. How do I do this?

Also, how can I move my photo gallery onto the card (it looks like pics I've taken w/ the phone are stored in the internal memory, right?).

850mb is hardly dwindling down. you won't notice lag until you have less than 20mb free.

anyway, goto settings, applications, click on the app and move to sd card. Only works on some apps though.

camera pics have always been able to store on sd card, though i don't remember where to set that.

Thanks for the tip re: moving apps. Works great, and I can't tell any difference in performance of the apps (I have several reference-type apps which are relatively large).

Also good to know that 850 mb is still plenty of room. I've just watched the number slowing decrease over the last few months.
