Moving apps to sd card? How?

As above really. I can see all my apps in the ap manager but cant see an option to move them to the sd card unlike on the s2.

You cannot do that without root since Android phones moved to ICS. If you upgraded from GB to ICS, it was still available.

Since the OP brought this up, and Samsung isn't releasing 32gb anytime soon. Has anyone heard of, or done themselves, the root access script to use the micro sd card as the internal memory. I'm not sure how it works but I heard you can trick the phone into using the 64gb removable card as "internal storage" which would give you plenty of room for apps.

If it seems I don't know what I'm talking about, it's because I don't lol

mp4 is just an extension for a container. The actual codec may not be supported by the stock player. Use mobo, dice, or mx video player since those support more codecs.

surely we are going to fill 16gb soon then if we cant put apps on external sd cards

This is the big problem with the Note 2. I think it's an almost perfect device except for the inability to get one with more than 16GB internal.

I ordered one because 32GB and 64Gb may never come out in the USA, but I resent the constrictions I will have to deal with due to the small 16GB and inability to use App2SD. And from I read, none of the hacking solutions tuly work 100% -- they all have some issues of some kind.

At this point I'm just planning to use a minimal set of apps, and not hoard game apps as I do on my other devices. But with Android games reaching 2GB in size these days, 10GB free storage for apps on a powerful device like the Note 2 is crazy.

if the 32Gb does ever show up *maybe* I will sell my 16GB and trade up. Or maybe the Note 3 next year will have 32GB to start instead of 16GB.

I can't imagine how much apps you have installed. I think I installed all the apps I will use in every situation I can think of, and I still have 9.16 GB left.
