moving photos to sd card

Desire newbie. How do I save my photos from the phone over to the sd card? Can't figure it out - do I need an app?

Your photos should be stored in the DCIM/100MEDIA folder on your sdcard already

nope can't see them when I mount it as disk drive.

Strange... Ive not done anything on mine and thats where it defaulted to. In fact I cant set anything other than Storage Card cos its disabled in settings. Have you got a file explorer like Astro? If so can you see your pictures in that?

If you open the photo app and long press on one of your photos you can see details which shows you the file path

My photos are stored in the sd card in the DCIM/100MEDIA folder also.

have you taken pics without an sdcard mounted? If so, I think you may have lost them.
