Root Moving ROM file to pc

I recently flashed to a new ROM. But can I take the backup of the old ROM and transfer it to my pc? Will this affect my phone in any way. Just want to clear some room on my sd card.

You mean the nandroid backup? You can copy it off if you want, but I highly suggest you keep at least one nandroid backup on your sdcard at all times. You never know when you might need it.

Yeah that's what I mean. So let's say I have 3 ROMs is it safe to transfer the backups for the 2 I'm not using to my pc?

clockwork - /sdcard/clockwork/ then each nandroid backup will be in a directory named by the date/time GMT that it was created. Copy the whole directory with the date/time name to copy a whole nandroid backup.

Amon RA - /sdcard/nandroid/(Unique number to your phone)/ then the naming convention for the directory of each nandroid is the same (date/time GMT). Do the same thing is clockwork for copying.
