Moving to a Moto Droid

I see... speaking of stats... my Droid 30 day trial was up yesterday so I'm officially in. Time to update my stats.

Also updated to Beast 0.7.8 to try the live wallpapers. I've got the star field going now, pretty cool.

What are you OC'ed to?

I saw 0.7.7 was set to 600MHz, is 0.7.8 the same?

I was thinking of BB 0.7.8 but not sure I want to OC, but again, I need to use stock form for a few days first

I've been driving it at 600 for now. It's a little jumpy, but considering what's running in the background (livewall papers), I could live with it here. OC'ing to 800,1GHz really makes it smooth - though we're almost to the point of splitting hairs, so I'm going to test at 600 a while to try and keep the temps low.

I can slow 0.7.8 down to 250 with setCPU app. Without setCPU app, I'm not sure where 0.7.8 runs at by default.

Returning to a static wallpaper at 600 MHz is pretty smooth. The live wall papers aren't interactive, and kind of gimmicky, but I have to admit I kind of like them for now.

Looks like you're driving the Droid Eris, is that true, or have you recently upgraded to Motorola Droid and forgot to update your stats? I don't think the Eris is root-able yet.

lol to the diva...

Yeah I'm flip-flopping back and forth between the droid and eris
because it seems like when i use the eris, i want speed and when i use the
droid i want form factor

so i was asking about rooting on the droid, which is what im doing now...Wish me luck...if i succeed, i'll keep using the droid and if i fail...i have the eris haha
