Help MP3 as Ringtone Help

Just picked up new HTC Inspire today.

I cannot set my MP3 as a ringtone. I get message says file cannot be larger than 300k?

My previous smartphones including Evo always worked.

What can I do?

I don't seem to have that problem. Are they just mp3s from your computer you put on the phone? But if you need to make them smaller you can use ringdroid to edit the mp3 and use a certain section of the song you like.

They are MP3's from computer

Use an audio editor to create a clip from the song you want as a ringtone. You can do that either on the phone or on your computer. No point making it more than 30 secs. That should fall under the size limit. I actually have some that are closer to 500K and they work with no problems.
