Help MP3 in email

I have received an email with a mp3 attached, I want to use it as a ringtone, but I can preview the fil and listen to the MP3 but can save it, any ideas .?

forward the email to yourself with the attachment then download the file on our pc, connect USB cable to G1 and copy file to your SD from the pc.

I believe the forked email application K9 is allowing you to save attachments to the memory card.

There is still some work to do, but thankfully there are many good coders out there fixing stuff that the basic apps arent doing right.

Ok, fine. What if I whant to save attachmentz(jpeg, or mp3 files), on memory card without any cable or without a PC?
Does it works?
10x!

If you go to you email (gmail) account via the web browser and then click on the mp3 attachment you will then have it downloaded to the phone ...

I agree that this is a disgrace.

I use ymail also, but can't get the push service on this phone as I could on the iPhone. If I add ymail account to the HTC mail, it will let me do whatever I want to the attachments.

piss-poor in my opinion. The gmail app should be totally kick ass - but it's far from that.
