mp3's not adding to music player

hi everyone....
just brought a samsung galaxy s i9000 16gb version today.
it's an amazing phone.

one thing though'
after adding mp3's to the folder samsung->music,the files are not updated in the music player,though each one can be played individually using 'my files'.only files playing are the .dcf files preloaded in the memory.
could someone help me out how to make these mp3's show in the music player?

Since things are a little different with Touchwiz i may not be of that much help. (Since i have never had it before.) What i would suggest you do though is create a folder called Music in the root of your sdcard and put all of your music in there. I never have a problem with music showing up in that folder.
