MP4 video playback

I have the Verizon note 2 and i downloaded a UV movie from the cloud that I bought and it's in mp4 format and it won't play. I tried the stock player, mobo, mobo pro and it says it can't open it. Am I missing something?

Digital rights management. It locks down media files so they can't be copied.

I've already paid for it. I bought the DVD and it has the "ultraviolet" copy where you download a permanent copy. I've done it twice and it still won't open the file

That would depend on the studio. One weakness of Ultraviolet is that it would depend on the studio the movie it came from. Some would be okay with a flixster account and can download the movie on any device and you can play it hassle free. I had one movie that was so much ogle a hassle to play it on Android that I swore never to buy from that studio again unless they change there policy.

Yeah, that's probably what the deal is. It's Batman, The Dark Night Rises. Damn it, I was wanting to see it on this phone too.

Same movie, same issue. I decoded the movie using DVD Next Copy. DVDneXtCOPY neXtTech can be found by searching the net. Sorry I don't have a link to them. I have been using this program for years, works great. Saved as S3 at 720xwhatever resolution.
