Root MT3G Root/Sense UI?

Hey,

I'm super new to this "root"ing stuff. I'm used to jailbreaking/unlocking iPhone's and iPod Touch's, where everything is just a 30-second/1-click process.

So there's this white MyTouch 3G that I'd like to put the Sense UI onto. Is this impossible? I've done quite a bit of researching and can't really find any noob-friendly pages...
 
Root first, using Unlockr (links in thread below) or CyanogenMod Wiki, then search AndroidSPIN Release Database for ROMs from the MT3G Slide (will have "slide" in the name). The Slide will be coming with SenseUI.

Having said that, I don't recommend them. Some functions are completely inoperable (check the release notes), and the ROM itself is slower than molasses in my experience.
 
I know that feeling. :D I waited more than a month before I rooted.

Figure out which method you want to use, then read the instructions a few times before you start. Eventually it'll become less intimidating.
 
I think I'll pass on all of this stuff and stick with iPhone's (or just buy a phone with the Sense UI already on it).

Seems like a whole lotta work just to change the way something looks and operates.
