Help Muffled audio via aux?

I've had my Inc. since launch day and I love it. I was wondering if anybody else experiences "muffled" audio through the auxiliary/headphone jack. For a while I just thought it was my car speakers but I tried it with different speakers for the same result. Pandora and mp3's both sound poor, worse than FM

sound should be clear. try using different aux or rca cables

I've tried my headphones and it still sounds muffled. Also, the cable seems to work fine with other devices. Has anybody else had a similar problem?
