Mugen Extended Battery For The Triumph

Wow, definitely a good price. Have you received them? Please let us know how they perform when you get them.

Thanks!

I have that same one for the same price but bought it through ebay. Definitely last longer than the OEM battery so it's worth the price.

That's great to hear, I think I will have to order one.

How long have you been using it? Does the quality seem up to par?

Wouldn't want a bad battery leaking in my phone.

Had it almost 2 months now and no issues whatsoever. I'd still prefer a larger cap batt...maybe 2500ma, but this will do in the meantime.

I have purchased a couple of the aftermarket extended batteries just like the ones linked to a few posts back. and have to say that I saw no improvement (but not worse performance either) so the price was worth it. The mugen battery on the other hand may actually have more capacity and I am fighting the demons and angels in my head as to whether I should plunk down the 45$ Mugen I believe makes quality products. They also have a 3200 mAh for the huawei x6 that comes with a battery door for 98$. In theory that should work with the Triumph. I have inquired about compatibility, they said they were confirming that it is and would get back to me. If it is then I will be getting one.

Cool, hope it works out for you.

I haven't tested them but I found a few coupon codes a while back that might help you out(if they work):

NMTSPEC - 5% off

5OFF2009 - 5% off

Not sure if they work or not though.

i just got my 1600mah batteries from Hong Kong :p , dang that was fast! got them in 10 days by airmail ill try them for a week and post

Would love to hear your thoughts on it after you use it for a week or two.

I ordered one as well so mine should probably be arriving in two weeks or whatever.

I bought me one and it works amazing!

The 1830mAh battery from Acesoft my differ your experience but consider the juice capacity is rated low with higher number of mAh as one of our members have tried them. To be realistic, the battery has to be bigger to hold more juice. This is only what I heard.

I have this battery now and I can confirm this battery is a 1500 mAh NOT 1830 mAH.

It's a relabeling scam.

If you would like to test these and post *actual* capacity instead of just an impression, you could use Battery Monitor Widget. You can measure true capacity by monitoring charge/discharge cycles (without a widget, also) with no noticeable hit on battery life/performance while using your phone.
There may be other apps for this too.

I did this awhile back and found that there was basically no difference between the 1380mah stock battery and the 1500mah Anker battery.

Shouldn't be a big surprise mfrs would overstate a product's attributes (specs) to get the consumer to choose theirs over competitors, such a practice is as old as business itself.
As for battery size I'm pretty sure weight could also be a measure of capacity as it's an indicator of the density of the cell. There will be a limit to capacity but as time goes by mfrs will improve the technology and thus capacity.
Doubtful the cheapest ebay offerings would be on that cutting edge tho.

So I ordered 2 of the batteries from China and so far one of them makes my phone do random shut offs and does not keep a charge for long and the other one works but does not last much longer then the stock one the company said they were going to send me out another battery so I will do an update when I try out the new one

I recently ordered this battery from Amazon.

It says its a "EXTRA LONG LIFE 1600mAh 1600 maH" for the Virgin Mobile Triumph.

Hopefully it will offer a little better battery life over the stock battery.

Doing some research on the issue there are a few battery models.

1) Motorola 1600mAh WX435 FB0-2
2) Anker 1500mAh ML-M071 FB0-2 FB02
3) AceSoft 1830mAh

Bummer, sounds like there isn't really that vast of an improvement with these. I work in a small cell phone store, I was going to try to talk my boss into ordering these so I could...."Test" it haha but based on what I'm reading I'll just stick with what I got and juice defender. (I don't know how I went without that app before.)
