Multi Color LED

Does the Note2 have a multi color LED? If so, does anyone use the light flow app? Any restrictions on colors?

-Thanks!

I'm using an SMS popup app to block the phone from turning on whenever receiving a new text and the colors do seem limited to red blue green with it. That said, I haven't tried or used liteflow in a while, but that would be the app that I would say is the best to test the multiple colors.

I'm such a chicken when it comes to certain apps. Light flows has it's advantages while wreaking havoc at the same time. Not trying to deter you from using it but if you ever have a problem with your phone, uninstall Light Flow and restart your phone.

I agree ScandaLeX. That's why I haven't used it in a long time. It was always way too quirky, after setting up all the LED's.

As long as Light Flow has been around I wonder if it's use of being able to control/alter the LED is what causes so many overall issues? Like some things that shouldn't be tampered with so to speak.

Thanks for the info. I use it on my nexus and I love it for when I have the phone on silent. I am going on Tuesday to Verizon for the Note2, trying to find out what I can before hand. I read the notification light is in the speaker grill? How noticeable is it?

It's not "in" the grill. It's somewhere in that general area to the left.

I honestly think it depends on the phone. It was awesome on the photon, but became very buggy the longer I used it. On the original EVO, it was good, but more stable. Was actually gonna try it out on the note 2, but from initial tests with the basic colors in the sms popup app I'm using, colors seem limited like the original EVO.

Root only for jelly Bean and up? or are you not rooted?

For most of the features, root JB and up. Without root you should be able to configure:

- Miss call
- SMS
- MMS
- Gmail
- Calendar reminder
- Google Talk
- Low battery
- Battery charging
- Battery charged
- No signal
- No 3G/4G
- No Wifi

I found the app on XDA and haven't had any issues since installing it. There is an alternating mode but I haven't used it much because of wakelocks and the fear that I'm draining battery. Could be fine but I'm just paranoid.

Which is why I am thinking the instability is coming from forcing colors.
Personally, I've never used it on any phone. Most of my questions and thoughts come from what other people post which, you know me, just leads to more questions. :D

I'm pretty content with the LED notifications as they are. My phone is always on and lit up so I rarely, if ever, miss anything.

Pretty cool. I may try it out.

Yeah, I'm pretty content with the led notifications for now, but as android addicts, how could we not experiment with more customizations? :D
