Multi Wallpaper and Gingerbread

I just got the Gingerbread update and when I went to change my wallpaper picture I saw that there are two options now, multi and single. Can anyone tell me what these are or how to use the multi option? Thanks!

Single mode = You can move around the trim to find what section of the picture you like to see on wallpaper, it will stay at the same spot even if you move the pages.

Other is just normal mode you had before.
