Help Multiple contacts

When I edit contacts on my phone (Droid X2), sometimes it shows the same contact doubled or tripled up. For instance, I'm looking at one contact and at the top it shows "Google contact" (and has my gmail account listed), if I scroll down it shows "Google contact" again (with my gmail account agian), and if I scroll down, I'll see the same thing a 3rd time. These appear to be 3 separate entries, because some of them have different information. When I'm viewing, it only shows one entry, but editing is when it shows 3 different entries. When I look at gmail contacts on my computer, it only shows one entry for this person. Anyone know what's going on?

I have checked the suggested forum messages. I do not have a SIM on my phone (Droid X2-that I'm aware of. The carrier is Verizon, and I don't believe they usually do SIMs). I have checked under display options, and the only thing I have checked is info under my Google (gmail) account. All the others are unchecked. Although, I notice that it is STILL showing facebook, even though I have that unchecked.

As is the case about 90% of the time, when I post a question, I find the answer shortly after. I have begun the process of finding and combining the contacts in gmail contacts and that seems to be solving the problem.

Thanks,
Jesse

I was going to say I had the same issue as my Facebook contacts got mixed in with my Gmail contacts and created a bunch of duplicates and sorting them through on Gmail solved the issue.
