Help Multiple duplicate TXT messages

So today I've been getting multiple duplicate txt messages. Some from my wife, some from a coworker, and one from a friend first thing this morning (5am) that I got 25 times!

I've reset my phone a couple times today to no avail. Last week I updated to the new ICS, but have had no issues until today :/

any suggestions?

I have this issue too and also noticed it after upgrading to ICS. Hoping someone can find a solution because I hope to avoid downgrading, if possible.

Are you on AT&T by chance?

Download wake lock power manager by Darken from the google play store. Set it for partial wakelock and to start on boot. This fixed the problem for me, at some small cost in terms of battery life.
