Multiple e-mail addresses under one contact issue

Hello everyone.

I've been looking for an answer to this issue for quite some time now and thought I'd stop here to see if anyone has ever had the same issue or even better... solved it.

I have a contact on my phone and the only thing listed in it are 4 e-mail addresses. The reason for this is I get text alerts on certain things from work. They all relate to the same overall job so I added each one to the same exact contact called "CCA". These are e-mails sent to my phone so recieve them via text message.

The problem lies in the fact that when I get the messages from those email addresses, they each still stay in their own text message thread. Each thread is called CCA.

I currently use Handcent so it's not jsut the stock messaging app.

I've got the LG Marquee with Gingerbread 2.3.4. Not rooted.

Has anyone ever run into this or heard of a fix for this? It's rather annoying and a few guys at work would love to see an answer on it.

I think its not possible because despite them having the same name in contacts, its a matter of differing details. Android separates the threads by the number or email the message comes from (maybe just in case you know two people with the same name).

That would suck as they are all entered into the same contact.
