Help Multiple Issues....help

Hi Folks,

I am a newbie here... I have the LG Optimus S and am having all kinds of issues.

1. I no longer get Face book messages via text messages. I have checked the setting and its all good. Ever since the FB app update the other day I have had NOTHING but issues.

2. I hardly ever get my emails unless I click check messages. I have checked the settings and it is set for every 10 minutes I think to check the server. Also, how the HECK do i just delete all the contents of my trash? I have a lot in there and dont want to click the delete button 500 times!

3. ITS SOOOO SLLOOWWWW.... The is a huge lag time. I have cleared out all the cache I can think of, moved things that allow me to move onto the SD card, but still, wicked slow.

Any help is appreciated!

You can uninstall the update in the market. Then try reinstalling. Also go into Settings > Applications > Manage Applications and find Facebook. Click on it then click Clear Data. Go back into the app and log into it.

Delete the account and add back in. Better yet, delete the account and install K9 Mail from the market. Much better and more customizations.

Go to Settings > SD Card and Phone Storage. How much Internal Storage do you have? You start at around 140Mb.

Go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications. Click on All tab. Then click Menu and Sort by Size. What is at the top? Do you need it or can it be uninstalled? You can also click on an app and then Clear Data to completely reset it.

Do you text a lot? If so, the database may have gotten huge. Use Chomp SMS or Handcent to make backing up important text messages and deleting all messages easier.

Report back what you find. Worst case scenario will be a reset with the hardware keys (not through the menu). Make sure all of your contacts are backing up to Google and that you know your Gmail username and password.
