Multiple notfication tones

Ok, I know this has to be possible on a stock 2.1 Droid;

My wife wants to have different custom (downloaded tones from Mabilo Ringtones) notification tones for different apps (SMS popup, voicemail, e-mail, etc.). But the Ringtones app only let's you change the default notification/ringtone or "set as" to a specific contact (not app or voicemail). So basically she can only have a custom tone for all notifications set to "default notification". Is there a way around this on a stock phone? For me, being rooted is too easy because I can copy custom tones to the phones file system where the stock tones are located, but I'd rather leave hers stock so it's more stable and simple for her. I'm hoping there's an app for this or something.

So any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Try the Missed Call app. It works great for different notification tones for vm, sms, email, and even missed calls. You can also change the led notification color.

As far as changing the notification sound for different apps, I'm not sure there is a way to change that.
