Help Multiple SMS Accounts on the same Droid X?

Hey all - I sold my htc Imagio with the expectation that the guy I was buying a Droid X from would not super flake on me. Yay Craigslist! Anyway, I've been without a working device for a week now as I wait for my DX to arrive. I just check voicemail a couple times a day to make sure I'm not missing anything important. On the other hand, I have to imagine I have a serious back log of texts. A buddy of mine said he thought the DX (which my wife currently has) could be configured to retrieve texts from more than one account (phone number). Is that possible? Is there any other way to retrieve text messages other than with an activated device?

No. Not possible. The device to receive the txt messages has to be activated on that line. Just use an old junker phone in the meantime. Programming is just *228

Don't know for sure if its impossible for your situation, but it is possible to get text messages from two accounts on the droid. Just use two google voice accounts- should work.
