Root Multiple wifi connections after rooting?

Hi AF,

I'm new. Been hanging around reading ever since I got my Epic 4G. I just switched to the EVO about a week ago and I'm staying w/ the EVO!

I've been really tempted to root my EVO, but I have 1 major concern. I use my EVO as a hotspot for my small business and I need multiple devices connected to the hotspot.

If I root my EVO, can I still connect multiple devices? If not, is there an aftermarket app that allows me to do so?

I would love to save $30/mo on the hotspot and get better battery life!

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums!
yep most roms will have the sprint hotspot hacked so that you do not have to pay. just follow the rooting for dummies guide. and ask any questions that you may have. this forum is loaded with people willing to help.

Welcome to the forum! To answer your question, YES, you can connect multiple devices to your hotspots' wifi connection. I believe can connect up to 5 devices w/ Wifi Tether, which can take advantage of your 4g connections (if you live in a 4g area), and I believe you can hook up the same amount of devices w/ Sprints hotspot (which most ROM's have unlocked so you don't have to pay).

Rooting affords us many benefits as well as total control of our Androids. A couple of these benefits are having the ability to use custom kernels and root only apps (ie: SetCPU) which in turn (when used correctly) gives you great battery life.

Happy Rooting and let us know when you get it done!
