Help Multitask problem

ENDEAVOUR

Lurker
I have the option to multitask and I can choose from the tab selection on the side, however, on all other handsets there is an edit button at the bottom of the tab so you can edit what you put in the tab for multitasking, mine is not there and I can't seem to find it. Can anyone tell me how to get that edit button on.
I have the LTE version.

Cheers RIchard :D

what Android version are you running? I have 4.1.1 on Verizon and I have had the edit button from day 1. You may want to check for an update on your device.

But with that edit button, you cannot add whatever apps you want, only the ones that are set up for multi window

That's how it works. Not every app supports multi-window. The app has to support the feature in order for it to work in multi-window. They don't just all automatically work with it.

True, unless you root and install the mod or run a custom ROM with the mod cooked in.

Samsung/Verizon are trying to patch this. There are quite a few apps that natively support mutiview. Chrome, Papyrus, ezPDF, Moon+ Reader, etc. Unfortunately, the Verizon version lacks the feature which allows additional apps to be added to it that already support it.

Edit: as pool_shark indicated, you will need to root or mod apps if you can't wait for the patch.
