can anyone recommend an app to download music that isnt chock full of ads and mysterious pop-ups, this shit is worse than windows!!!!!!

ES file manager has a music player in it that I use. It can do play list etc, and will run in the background just fine too.

Oh, sorry I misread, I have a my cd's ripped to mp3s and have bought music on iTunes, I don't like the way Google's play music works, and being stuck with having to use their player. I usually buy the CD to have it for the art etc and just rip it so I can have it on my phone or iPod.

Yes gtunes works well for downloading many songs or you can do mp3skull.com or even beemp3.com I use gtunes the most duo
