Help Music disappearing

OK so since we I've had this phone, and my other two Evo V's that got refunded then purchased at a diff store. I haven't been able to keep music on any of them. I would transfer them from PC using the supplied data cable put them in the music folder and voila. And it would be fine, but after plugging into my PC a few times to transfer pics or videos I would realize my music was gone. I safely remove each time and then check mark charge on on phone, wait for SD card to finish preparing then I disconnect.

Mind u its not the phone or SD card becuz its my 3rd Evo and its not rooting or ROM related becuz my first two Evo's weren't rooted. So any ideas or anyone have that issue?

I had the issue only when I hooked it up to a laptop that automatically transfers pics and music, I pressed cancel and bam! no music

I have my auto play stuff turned off, but I do member it before trying to pop, I gonna check again to see.

Well I haven't hooked up to computer in a week but just now all my music I's gone but music I keep in the different folder is still there...
"music" folder = empty
"music_for_baby" = still has song in it
