Help Music gone

Title says it all. I have no idea what happened to music I put on the phone. I go to play some music and the library is empty. I think it was all on the phone storage. Any ideas of what may have happened?

Did you check /sdcard2? What music service/app are you using? Try grabbing a file manager and checking /sdcard/music and /sdcard2/music. Some music players can't read /sdcard2.

If you're using the default "Music" click the top dropdown menu and see if it lets you select a different music library. If that fails, pop out the SD card or mount to your computer and do a "hard-target search of every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area." (sorry, I like that scene for some reason).

/mnt/sdcard/music was where the music was. Folder is empty. I'm assuming that's the phone storage. I see a sdcard2 and another named ext_sd. I'm assuming one of them is the sd card. I use the stock music player and winamp. Fortunately I have the music on my pc. I'm hoping this isn't a bug because I know I didn't go and delete music. First I had the reboot issue now this. Love the phone otherwise.

Just transfer your music from sdcard to sdcard2 that is your external card and you should be good to go. I use my phone as an mp3 player and put all of my music on sdcard2 and the stock music/poweramp finds the music with no problems.

Yeah that's what I'll do. Thanks all. By the way, after op I downloaded a song to the
/mnt/sdcard/music folder and now that's gone. Hmm

A music delete bug???That's not good. Can you see how much space is free on your internal SD/Phone storage? Also, it seems to get some people confused(not saying you OP) when they mount the SD in windows and get two separate mount points. One is internal storage, one is external. Usually the external is the second.
