Newbie here.
I want to transfer music files from my computer's hard drive to the memory chip and have the files categorized under headings like "country", "jazz" and so on.
So I inserted the chip into my computer and created the categorized headings and copied the file fom Windows Explorer to the chip.
I tried to copy files into the chips using heading I created but even though all the files (19) I copied to the heading only about 12 out of the 19 files actually show up in my phone.
What am i doing wrong? Please help
thanks

from what I can tell they are all MP3 that do not appear under the heading(s). What can I do to have all my like music in one place?
Thanks

WMA is a format for window's media player. You need a separate player to play them on an Android device.

If they came off of a CD, it could possibly be a WAV file, another format that probably won't get picked up.

Simply look at the extension of the files.

If I get a diferent player would they all appear together (MP3 and WAV) under my category heading?
Where do I get this player?
Thanks so much

I checked and within a category called "Romance" some music files are MP3 and some are WAV. But not all that I copied into the Romance category in the memory chip appear. Only some MP3 and WAV files. The ones that were copied but don't appear in the Romance Category appear elsewhere alone as single songs instead of being together in the same (Romance) category.
Thanks
