Help Music Missing from Phone Storage

Friday night I discovered that all my music is gone from my phone. I have connected it to my computer and did a search and they are no longer in storage on my phone. I do not have an SD card. I did get a message a couple days ago that an HTC update had been applied without any initiation from myself. I hope someone knows what could have caused this as I had ALOT of music !

need to ask some questions:

are you rooted?

how long have you had the phone?

did you buy it new? used? is it a refurb?

what carrier?

so you can connect and see your "music" folder on the computer?

go to your settings and storage tab and see how much data is in your music storage.

goes without saying, but always make backups of your data.

id you buy it new? used? is it a refurb? new.
what carrier? verizon
so you can connect and see your "music" folder on the computer? yes and it's empty.
go to your settings and storage tab and see how much data is in your music storage. none

if your storage shows zero for music files and you cant see them or play them on the stock music app, then they are missing for some odd reason and are very unlikely to be restored.
